Moving Phrases – Mark To Matthew

This morning, I came to my wife in the living room, where she was having her morning devotions. Just out of curiosity, I asked her to read what she was studying, and this is what she was reading: Matthew 14:36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole. (KJV as it is today)

Does that sound familiar?

Do you remember where the woman who had an issue of blood thought that if she could but just touch the hem of His garment, she would be made whole? I believe this little tidbit of scripture was moved from Mark 5 to Matthew 14. Imagine that.

Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. (KJV as it is today)

  • AS IT WAS: Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch the hem of his garment, I shall be whole. (KJV)

Now I know where that part of the verse in Mark 5 went to.
