Is Amos 8:11-12 prophecy for today, or has it already been fulfilled?
Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: 8:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.
The word of the Lord “DID NOT” disappear in Amos’ day. I don’t care what any theologian says, it endured. It did not vanish. Yet it “is” prophecy. When I see a prophecy unfulfilled, I see that it will be fulfilled eventually.
Despite the fact that Israel was taken from their place, shuffled around from captor to captor, Gods word still endured and could be found. It “did not” disappear then. But it is certainly disappearing now.
